I think this is a reasonable bill that would resolve the casino issue once and for all.  Why would either side be concerned with letting the citizens of Philadelphia decide what is best for the city.  I don't believe the state should be dictating development as it sees fit and in regards to something as large as casino gambling I don't think a small neighborhood group should be able to trump what the rest of the city thinks.  This project does not just impact Fishtown.

This is a contradiction and a logical fallacy.  If he was voted in, he represents all of his district and not just some of them. If he wasn't voted in then he doesn't represent anyone in his district.  This is an either/or statement and logical syllogism.  The only way to make him not represent the people in his district is to vote him out... Start organizing to vote him out of office if you want him out of office and most of the people are against his views on gambling.

I believe that Mike O'Brien should represent all of the members of his district.  Many. members want the casino in his neighborhood, but he allies himself with a chosen few.  I sincerely hope this bill does not go through, and plan to ask other members to vote against it.

I think he if attended neighborhood meetings and talked to all of the people involved, he would learn a lot more about the people who voted him in --- and hoped he would be a good choice.  Sorry to say, I haven't seen or heard a thing about him since his unopposed win.
