Introduced by Rep. John T. Yudichak (D) on February 9, 2009, to establish the Office of Consumer Advocate for Health Insurance within the Pennsylvania Insurance Department. The purpose of the Office is to represent the interest of consumers of insurance in matters before the Insurance Department if it is deemed necessary by the Consumer Advocate. The Consumer Advocate for Health Insurance will be appointed by the Attorney General.
