Introduced by Sen. Jeffrey E. Piccola (R) on January 29, 2009, to amend the Administrative Code to require that the general appropriation bill for the ensuing fiscal year must be passed by the House of Representatives by June 1, by the Senate by June 15, and be presented to the Governor for approval by June 30. If necessary, by June 20, a special conference committee consisting of six Senators
and six Representatives is to be established to
deliberate on the general appropriation bill. If either chamber fails to meet its deadline, no member of that chamber would receive compensation until appropriate action is taken to accomplish the required result.
Referred to the Senate Appropriations Committee on January 29, 2009.
