Please rush passage of House Bill #1288. In our small town the chief of police ,the chief's mother, a part time cop were elected to council, and an appointment to a vacancy in office was filled by the chief's son-in-law all since 2007 and a part-time officer also served as Mayor prior to this term. The police Sargeant was also on the council at that time.  The Chief patrols the town in the police car harassing the work force on a daily basis. As you can see, the police force runs borough government here.

The police department enforces ordinances of their choice and refuses to enforce all of those that are in effect just so they won't lose any votes at the next election.( issuing parking tickets)

Please rush HB 1288 as a priority.
