    We need Divorce Reform NOW

We need to reform our divorce laws.  The blind eye "No Fault" premise in our current divorce law is  criminal!  A marriage is basically a contract before God between a man and a woman.  When one party “steps outside” the marriage and basically destroys the contract, the person who lived up to their contract is severely penalized if they are the main bread winner.  Yes, marital misconduct is considered in spousal support, however, if support is denied, they just file for APL (Alimony) where marital misconduct is not considered.  It is basically a given fact that all assets are divided 50/50 regardless of the factor of the breakup.  If our laws took misconduct into consideration for Alimony and property distribution, I think there would be a lot less divorces since you would now be responsible for you own actions.    In my case, my EX just retired 3 months after the divorce living fat on Alimony while I get to extend my working career by another 15 years trying to recover financially.  Where is the justice???

What we need is total reform of family court. I understand what you are saying. I have been the victim of the family court system for years and it's draconian laws and policies. Everytime I see Rendell's picture on a poster claiming it's for the children I want to punch him right in the face.
